Benefit event
for Haiti
Last Saturday, June 12th was held a benefit event for Haïti which took place in the Festival TransAmériques.
All profits, given to CECI, will help finance reconstruction projects in Haiti. It was a rare opportunity to see excerpts from the famous novel written by Marie-Vieux Chauvet in the 60’s. Amour, colère et folie, a work first challenged under the Duvalier regime who are now freed from all constraint, experienced a big success through theater.
A gamble well earned
This event, initiated by the organization of FTA has raised $ 4,200, the result of an unusual cultural day which proved a great success.
Special thanks to Marie-Hélène Falcon, artistic and general director of the event and his team cheerful and dynamic. And thank you to actresses Christiane Pasquier, Pol Pelletier and Magali Comeau Denis, who came expressly from Port-au-Prince for the occasion.
