International Development Week

International Development Week will take place from February 6-12, 2011. It highlights and illustrates the work of Canada's development community.

During the week, Local Committees will hold events on their campuses, across the country. These are not only an opportunity to learn and share, but an opportunity to get the public to take action and to participate in different public engagement campaigns. Uniterra’s newest campaign, « Her Challenge, Your Challenge », will be launched during several events throughout the week, from St. John’s to Vancouver.

Feb. 5 - Dalhousie, Halifax: Regional Symposium “Women’s rights, participation and equality”
Feb. 7 - Mount Saint Vincent University : “A Conversation with Debbie Goodwin and Halima Abdille, Author and student from the book “Citizens of Nowhere””
Feb 7-11 - Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo: “The Millennium Development Goals and Canada's Involvement during International Development Week”
Feb 7-11 - Lakehead University, Thunder Bay: “International Development Week Symposium”
Feb 7-11 - Université du Québec en Outaouais, Gatineau : «Conférences pour la semaine du développement international (colloque) »
Feb 8 - Université Laval, Québec: « Participation égale, changement mondial! »
