Today, December 5, we celebrate International Volunteer Day! On this special day, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your hard work and steady commitment to the sustainable development goals on behalf of WUSC and CECI.
Since 2015, nearly 2,500 Canadian volunteers have worked with 1,000 local partners throughout the world to build capacities, increase equality and support sustainable development. You have helped make a difference in the lives of thousands of people and their communities in 42 developing countries around the world. More than half of this work has focused on promoting gender equality and empower thousands of women and girls.
Volunteers have the power to affect the sustainable development agenda. You are so important to this work, and we thank you!
Together volunteers unite Canada and the world.
