Marilena Bioli

Marilena Bioli is a graduate of the École Nationale d’Administration Publique (ENAP) in Montreal and the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Perugia, Italy. Ms. Bioli was a rural development consultant for many years and in several countries of Latin America for international organizations such as International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and AFC (Agriculture and Food Consultants) International.

In 1997 she was posted to El Salvador as project manager for SOCODEVI, and in 2002 she joined CECI as a project officer. In 2007 she was appointed as Director, Latin America for CECI.

Ms. Bioli is known for her expertise in the following areas:

  • organizational capacity building for farm cooperatives and associations;
  • planning, management, and evaluation of development projects and programs;
  • human and financial resources management for international development projects;
  • fundraising work with large donors;
  • establishment of partnerships and strategic alliances.
