In Dakar, women and youth transform waste into resources

What if people came to bring their waste and in exchange, they were given food? This is the idea of entrepreneur Cheikhou Oumar Diallo in Hann Bel-Air, a district of Dakar, Senegal. His project is supported by the Fonds de développement et de solidarité municipal and by CECI.

This project addresses the issues of waste management (a major challenge in Senegal) and the fight against illegal emigration (a deadly scourge in Senegal), while offering promising employment opportunities for youth and women.
