Women in Action Award

CECI is proud to award recognition prizes to celebrate the exceptional engagement of people—or organizations—who have put their mark on CECI’s history and contributed to changing lives. We cherish this opportunity to show our appreciation for our human resources in Canada as well as in our countries of intervention, to reaffirm CECI’s values, and to showcase the many talents within our network.

CECI is looking for nominations for the Woman in Action Award which will be presented at the CECI’s Annual General Assembly on November 12, 2021.

Do you know a woman, man or organization involved in a CECI project who has made a significant contribution to equality between women and men? Nominate them for the Women in Action Award!

CECI stands firmly for women’s rights.
In its mission and values statement, CECI places the principle of equity in human relations at the centre of its vision and its action. We believe in human dignity and equality before the law, and we work to establish equality between women and men both in society at large and within our own organization.

CECI holds the conviction that women must have equal access to the benefits of development, and this dictates that they be made equal partners in decision-making processes relating to development activities and projects. Discrimination against women limits their access to education, health care, and decision-making power, among other things. It stands in the way of their full participation.

This is why our approach, while including work with men, places a priority on increasing women’s individual and collective knowledge.

The Women in Action Award recognizes any individual, woman or man who has made a significant contribution to equality between women and men.
